A great big THANK YOU goes out to Steven Edge, who has been working to update our website over the last few months.  The children’s page is great, with links to other websites too.

Keep Fit and Dance Club

The Keep Fit and Dance Club has been very successful with children of all ages joining in.  As the weather gets warmer look out for our Keep Fit and Dance Club which may be taking place on the field from 8.15 a.m. on Wednesday mornings.  Feel free to join in on the field – this invitation is open to all children, staff, parents and carers.

Parents – Be Aware

Some of our older children have access to MSN.  This is fine, if you know who your child is talking to.

However, in the past, we have had some occasions when MSN has been used to bully others and drum up group actions against individuals.  Also be aware that MSN is safe up to a point.  It enables you to communicate to known computers but your child  may not be communicating with the person you think they are.

We recommend that all parents monitor their children’s use of MSN very carefully.

Car Parking

The parking of cars in the streets around the school continues to be an issue for us.  If you have to bring your child to school by car, please park with consideration for our neighbours.  Parents will be aware that as part of the Healthy Schools Initiative and in line with our School Travel Plan we encourage children to walk to school whenever possible.  As well as being good exercise this means fewer cars on the roads around the school.  In particular, it is very important that cars are not parked on the left hand side of the road off Hussey Road which leads to the school gate.  This is the only point of access for emergency vehicles and must not be blocked at any time.

Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Cursive Writing

Well done to all the children for taking on a new writing scheme so well.  We would particularly like to thank parents for the support they have provided at home.  It has obviously been very worthwhile.
